Vinicio Pérez, the owner of the Birdwatcher's House Hostel and restaurant, is also a seasoned English speaking tour guide in Mindo and all Ecuador. He is born in the Mindo region and knows the area like he back of his hand.

Our hostel in Mindo, Ecuador is really calm but for the real nature lover we have our Finca which means farm in Spanish. Its a property where you can relax in all peace and quiet.
Its located 3 kms. away from the town centre of Mindo, this finca is situated in the middle of the cloud forests that surround Mindo. So the sounds of the birds and other tropical animals will surround you during your stay.
We have 6 double rooms with private bathroom for a total capacity of 12 persons.
Price: $ 19.50 USD per person which includes a delicious breakfast and taxi tranport (from the Mindo Bus station to the Finca and back on the end of your stay)
Organic Garden
We do organic farming in the area of the lodge, by growing about 23 different types of vegetables. We have tomatoes, spinach, broccoli, lettuce, cabbage, carrots, potatoes, cauliflower, peppers, bananas, Cassava Tree tomato Etc. All our vegetables are 100% organic which means that there are no chemicals in them.
It's so natural that we can harvest the garden in less than 2 minutes and bring the vegetables in the kitchen to prepare them for our clients. Come and enjoy our organic vegetables for a healthy diet.
