We had our friend Vinicio as our bird guide out of Quito, he was a wonderful guide and found many birds for our enjoyment. He showed us his hotel in Mindo and although we did not stay here, it was a very clean hotel and looked to be one of the nicest places to stay. We feel lucky to have met Vinicio and would recommend him to anyone travelling to the area.   Sincerely,

Just finished a fifteen day introduction to Ecuador's birds going from Mindo through the Paramo and into the Amazon.  We saw 475 species including many endemics and most of the star birds - Condor, Sunbittern, Cock-of-the-Rock.  Vinicio has a great ear and was good company for me.  I will be back.

As always, we had a great time at the Birdwatcher's house.  The food and service were out of this world. 

We also had VInicio take us on a tour of Mindo one day - well worth the cost.  Vinicio certainly knows all there is to know about birds in Mindo.
