Birdwatcher's House - Hostel in Mindo
Welcome to the new and improved website of the Birdwatcher's House. Our hostel in Mindo, in the South-West of Ecuador has lots of space with its 12 comfortable rooms around a beautiful garden. This garden is constantly visited by hummingbirds that frequent the place.
The Hostel has free high-speed internet Wi-Fi and is included in your stay. There is also a free Jacuzzi in the garden that will help your to relax from the stress that you might have caught in Quito. Here it's a different story all together, with no worries about safety. In this hostel in Mindo, Ecuador it's all about chilling and absorbing the laid-back atmosphere of the town.
We have comfortable, secure, new and clean single and double rooms with private bathrooms and great hot showers. There is space for 25 guests. The hostel is located close to the centre with easy access to the Mindo bus stop, birding sites, bars, etc.
The Restaurant
Our restaurant has excellent home-cooked meals; from typical Ecuadorian food to the more European style cuisine, vegetarian or other diets are available upon request. Meals served according to birders' schedules; box meals and snacks available.
Free coffee, tea and water. Alcoholic beverages and soft drinks available for purchase. Come and enjoy the work of our excellent chefs and try our new menu in our restaurant. Our menu is new with fish-, chicken- and meat dishes.
Tours in Mindo and Ecuador
In our hostel you can also make reservations for different styles of bird watching tours. For very reasonable prices we take you on a tour that will allow you to photograph an immense amount of different bird species.
